Supreme Box Kart Championship 2017

Date: 13th Oct 2017 Author: Scout Websites

1st Woodmansterne entered two fantastic teams of 6 Cubs to race box karts at Goodwood Race Track. This year it was the 10th Anniversary of the Supreme, so we set out at around 6.30am and arrived to a warm welcome from Stephen Bell and his team with 4 box karts, 2 of which were new this year for the Cubs to race. Team Silver Surfer and team Silver Bullet were the Woodmansterne Cubs karts. Teams from all over Sussex, Surrey, Devon and from Northern Ireland entered this year: a total of 40 teams.
The Cubs arrived around 8.30am with all the mums and dads, brothers and sisters. The atmosphere was electric from the start! Once their karts were checked for safety, Woodmansterne Cubs were out to show what the mighty Woodmansterne could do, with win after win for the Silver Surfer and a great run from the Silver Bullet although they sadly did not reach the top 16. The top 16 out of 40 Cub packs raced against each other to reach the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and Woodmansterne made the final to race against East Grinstead. Woodmansterne Cubs are the first to bring the Supreme cup to Surrey!
