Cubs District Air Rifle Competition

At the end of January Park Farm hosted the inaugural District Air Rifle competition for the cub sections of Banstead District. Each group ran their own selection events to choose a team of three and seven groups entered teams into the days competition.

Each young person had two shooting sessions, the first session comprised five sighting shots, then five competitive shots and the second session was ten competitive shots. The cubs were competing in age brackets (8, 9 and 10 years old). Various activities were arranged to keep the young people busy whilst they were not shooting.

It was a keenly contested competition with the final results being:
