On 12th June 2010, 100 Beavers
from all Colonies in Banstead District joined together for a day
of space themed fun!
All Colonies designed their own
space alien from scrap materials and the 7th Banstead's
futuristic Beaver Scout was selected as the winning entry by
Assistant County Commissioner for Beavers Scouts, Sharon
Andrews. they were awarded the highly prized cup.
The other Colonies in the district have made it their goal to
win it back!
Other activities included an
obstacle course, archery, climbing, abseiling, crafts, rocket
launching and a string trail.
All in all, it was a fantastic
day, organised by Gill Clawson and Loraine Dukes, District
Beaver Leaders.
